Web Designer
Abrams Fixtures is an upcoming mixed-use development in Atlanta offering 34 residential lofts, over 8,000 square feet of restaurant and 50,000 square feet of creative loft space for commercial and retail use. As the designer of Abrams Fixtures' website, I ensured that the online platform captures the essence of this innovative project.

The Problem
Abrams Fixtures, a new mixed-use development in Atlanta, lacks a website to showcase its 34 residential lofts, 8,000 square feet of restaurant space, and 50,000 square feet of creative loft space for commercial and retail use. The absence of an online platform hinders effective promotion and communication of the property's features, creating a need for the development of a dedicated website.
Background Brief
In the summer of 2021, I was given the opportunity to work at Braden Fellman Group who focuses on the preservation and innovative restoration of Atlanta's historic structures as a property management and development group.
As the Digital Marketing/Web Design Intern, my main responsibilities were to assist in the building and troubleshooting of single page scroll websites and create designs for marketing materials.
I worked on many projects, but my favorite was creating a single scroll website for Abrams Fixtures, one of the group's new properties. This website showcased the property's unique features and amenities, such as its historic architecture or modern amenities in a visually appealing way.
Overall, my role at Braden Fellman Group allowed me to gain valuable experience in web design and marketing, while contributing in a small way to the preservation and restoration of Atlanta's historic structures.

Brainstorming
To efficiently create multiple prototypes and quickly determine the direction for the single scroll website, I used Figma, a cloud-based design and prototyping tool.
By using Figma, I was able to create interactive designs, wireframes, and prototypes that allowed me to test my ideas and gather feedback before moving on to the final design. This incredibly useful tool it made it easy to design and collaborate with others, and its library of pre-made design elements and templates helped me to create effective and visually appealing designs quickly and consistently.

Takeaways
Having the opportunity to work on this project was incredibly rewarding as it allowed me to experience an environment that taught me the importance of communication. The way this internship was structured enabled me to participate in meetings that involved constant feedback that helped guide my designs to what they have envisioned. Collaborating in this manner was completely new to me as it was anything unlike what I have down in a school setting. However, it provided me with the knowledge and practice I need for future projects.
